How to Apply

I. UNDERGRADUATE

To successfully apply to XJTLU, you will need the following documents:

1. Certificates of education qualifications and transcripts translated into English

2. Certificates of English language qualifications such as IELTS, TOEFL or other acceptable English qualifications (as required)

3. Photocopy of your passport/ID Scholarship application (optional)

APPLY ONLINE

Applications should be submitted via the online application system. You can find the link to the application from the programme webpages. For more information, please visit our admissions Website and then:

1. Create an account with the required basic information including your name and email address.

2. Complete the application form. Once your application account is successfully created, enter all the required information carefully and make sure it is correct.

3. Upload the required documents as instructed on the form. You may log in to view your application form at any time and upload any remaining supporting documents.

4. Submit your application. After submitting your application form successfully, you will receive an acknowledgment email from us.

XJTLU may require additional documents or an interview to assess your academic qualifications for particular programmes.

AFTER YOU APPLY

1. Self Service Centre: You can log into the Self Service Centre application system to track your application status and upload any remaining documents.

2. Accepting an offer: If successful, you will be issued an offer letter through the Self Service Centre and notified via email. Youwill also be able to accept the offer through the Self Service Centre.

3. Paying deposit: Unconditional offer holders must secure their place at XJTLU by paying a non-refundable deposit of RMB 10,000 payable when confirming acceptance of the offer. This is part of the tuition fee and will be deducted from the total amount upon enrolment. Failure to pay the deposit before the deadline (30 calendar days starting from the date of the offer issued) may result in your offer being withdrawn.

4. Once the deposit is paid, you will receive a payment acknowledgment and preregistration notice to help you make early preparations for arrival.

II. POSTGRADUATE

NOTE:

SOME PART-TIME PROGRAMMES ALSO HAVE A FEBRUARY/MARCH ENTRY. PLEASE REFER TO THE RELEVANT PROGRAMME PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE FOR DETAILS. PhD APPLICATIONS MAY BE SUBMITTED AT ANY TIME.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

The tips below are to help you apply in the most effective way.

1. Research the programme you are interested in to make sure it is right for you.

2. Check the entry and English language requirements for your programme of interest.

3. Make sure you have prepared the following documents in English to upload onto the application system: personal statement, two letters of reference (on the official letterhead of your referee’s workplace and his/her signature), certificates of education qualifications and transcripts, certificates of English language qualifications, scholarship application letter (optional).

4. XJTLU reserves the right to request additional documents or an interview to assess your academic qualifications for particular programmes.

APPLY ONLINE

All applicants should apply via our online application system. Please select the degree programme you wish to pursue on our website, and click the “Apply” button. You will then be prompted to:

1. Create an account with required basic information, including your name and email address.

2. Complete the application form. Once your application account is successfully created, enter all the information required carefully and make sure it is correct.

3. Upload the required documents as instructed on the form.

4. Submit your application. After submitting your application form successfully, you will receive an acknowledgment email from us.

NOTE:

WE WILL NOT BEGIN PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENT AND TRANSCRIPTS.

AFTER YOU APPLY

For conditional offer holders, you will be given an unconditional offer once you meet the condition(s) stated in the offer letter and by submitting all required supporting documents.
